DRODE is a healthcare payment wallet. Balances are held in USDC, a third-party U.S. dollar stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the U.S. dollar. DRODE does not issue USDC and does not use a proprietary or speculative token. A stablecoin’s value is a design goal, not a guarantee, and is subject to the issuer’s reserves and to market conditions. The $100/year Standard Account Fee covers platform access and services; an optional $400/year Premium membership adds concierge and support services. You can withdraw your balance to dollars at any time.
18.2 Not Insurance Disclaimer
DRODE is a healthcare payment wallet, not health, dental, vision, pet, or any other insurance. DRODE does not provide coverage or benefits, does not pool risk, does not pay claims, does not guarantee payment of expenses, and does not reduce the cost of care. DRODE does not replace the need for appropriate insurance.
18.3 Not a Financial or Budgeting Tool Disclaimer
DRODE is a payment wallet, not a savings account, budgeting service, money-management service, or financial-planning tool. DRODE does not provide financial advice. Loading funds into a DRODE wallet in advance is a convenience for paying participating providers; it does not earn a guaranteed return, is not a deposit product, and does not reduce the cost of care.
18.4 Physician Pricing Disclaimer
DRODE’s pre-established rates apply only to self-pay patients who are not billing insurance, are set by DRODE, and may be higher or lower than other self-pay prices. Prices are visible in advance only where a participating provider has chosen to publish them in DRODE. When insurance is involved, the provider bills the insurer at the contractual rate and DRODE may be used to pay the patient’s out-of-pocket portion. Illustrative prices vary by CPT code, location, and the Medicare fee schedule and are not offers or guarantees.
18.5 Non-Physician Pricing Disclaimer
Dentists, optometrists, orthodontists, veterinarians, and psychologists who participate in DRODE set their own pricing and may choose to publish it in the directory. DRODE does not set, negotiate, or guarantee pricing for these services. Any cost figures shown are illustrative only.
18.6 Veterinary Disclaimer
DRODE is a payment wallet for veterinary services, not pet insurance, and is not a loan or financing. DRODE does not guarantee treatment acceptance or clinical outcomes. Pet owners are responsible for their own decisions and expenses.
18.7 Provider Earnings Disclaimer
Transaction fees are subject to change. Any savings or earnings figures are illustrative estimates based on assumptions and comparisons with typical card fees. DRODE does not guarantee transaction volumes, patient referrals, treatment acceptance, or revenue outcomes.
18.8 Not DPC Disclaimer
DRODE is not a Direct Primary Care (DPC) arrangement as defined under 26 U.S.C. 223(c)(1)(E). DRODE is a healthcare payment wallet for many types of healthcare services, and payment is per-service, not a fixed periodic fee.
18.9 Wallet Funding Disclaimer
DRODE requires a sufficient wallet balance before services are rendered. If a charge exceeds the wallet balance, the patient may top up the wallet or pay the difference by cash, credit card, debit card, or bank transfer (ACH). DRODE does not extend credit, advance funds, or pay from unfunded accounts.
