Why We Built DRODE on

Blockchain

We could have built DRODE on traditional payment rails-Stripe, ACH, credit card networks. A well-designed app on those rails could deliver transparent pricing and simplified billing. But it could not deliver ownership.

In DRODE, your digital wallet is yours and only yours. You have the only key. Your USDC balance lives on the Solana blockchain in a wallet you control; DRODE does not take custody.

Balances on DRODE are held in USDC, a fully-reserved U.S. dollar stablecoin issued by a regulated third party and designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the U.S. dollar. DRODE does not issue USDC and does not use a proprietary or speculative token for payments. As with any stablecoin, a 1:1 value is a design goal, not a legal guarantee; see disclaimers. You can withdraw your balance to dollars and transfer it to your bank at any time.

Physician Pricing Model

Participating physicians have agreed to accept pre-established rates for self-pay patients. These rates are set by DRODE using a standardized benchmark (a multiple of the Medicare fee schedule). They apply only to self-pay services and may be higher or lower than other self-pay prices in your area.

Non - Physician Pricing Model

Non-physician providers (dentists, optometrists, orthodontists, veterinarians, psychologists) set their own pricing within the DRODE network. DRODE does not set rates for these services. Providers benefit from a 1% transaction fee-lower than credit card processing-and patients benefit from price visibility, wallet-based payment, and spending tracking.

Our Approach

DRODE launches in Florida on July 1, 2026 with a focused group of participating providers - physicians, dentists, optometrists, orthodontists, veterinarians, and psychologists - and a controlled consumer rollout. This is intentional: we’re starting focused enough to learn quickly while building a foundation strong enough to scale.
